Jiuwu High tech won the title of Annual Benchmark Enterprise for Industrial Wastewater Zero Discharge

On March 28, 2025, the 23rd Water Industry Strategy Forum, hosted by the E20 Environmental Platform, opened in Beijing. The theme of this forum is "Pursuing the Origin of Value, Opening up New Opportunities in the Changing Situation", focusing on a new path for high-quality development of the water industry. By building a collaborative innovation platform between government, industry, academia, and research, we deeply analyze industry pain points, explore innovative development paths, and provide systematic solutions for enterprises to cope with multiple challenges such as stock competition, policy adjustments, and technological iterations.

At the highly anticipated annual awards ceremony, Jiuwu High tech won the title of "Annual Benchmark Enterprise for Industrial Wastewater Zero Discharge" with its outstanding technical strength and rich engineering experience in the field of industrial wastewater zero discharge, fully demonstrating the company's leading position in environmental technology innovation.


Separation technology creates zero emission solutions


In response to the national strategy of protecting the Yangtze River, Jiuwu High tech participated in the EPC general contracting project of the complete set of equipment for wastewater pretreatment, reclaimed water reuse, and desalination of a 40000 ton nitrile rubber plant relocation and renovation project in Nantong (hereinafter referred to as the project). The wastewater involved in the project mainly includes production wastewater and domestic wastewater, including new sewage treatment, reclaimed water reuse, and supporting facilities. Adopting the EPC general contracting model, this project has also been shortlisted for the "2025 Excellent Case Compilation in the Water Industry".

This project utilizes mature and reliable sewage biochemical treatment technology to achieve standard discharge of industrial wastewater, which can be used as raw water for reclaimed water. Jiuwu High tech uses advanced membrane separation technology to maximize water resource recovery, reduce dependence on fresh water sources, reduce water resource waste, and meet the supply of desalinated water required for production, helping the sustainable development of enterprises. Optimize water resource allocation, address water scarcity, reduce wastewater discharge, protect the aquatic ecological environment, promote industry water conservation and emission reduction, achieve a win-win situation for both economy and environment, and promote sustainable social development.


Core process membrane integration technology leads the industry


This project uses a "ultrafiltration+reverse osmosis dual membrane system as the main body" to significantly reduce the amount of fresh water resources used, demonstrating the efficient practice of chemical enterprises in water resource recycling. It provides a water-saving model for enterprises facing water shortage problems and guides the industry to improve water resource utilization efficiency. At the same time, it also reduces wastewater discharge, minimizes the impact on the ecosystem, and promotes a virtuous cycle of the ecosystem.


Main processes

Wastewater pretreatment process: removal of hardness+coagulation sedimentation+hydrolysis+A/A/O+MBR, standard discharge/reuse of reclaimed water; Reclaimed water reuse process: UF+first stage RO, produced water reuse/desalinated water production, concentrated water discharge; Desalination process: activated carbon filter+secondary RO, produced water reuse, concentrated water return to the front end.


Equipment characteristics

Advanced membrane technology: using high cross-linking anti pollution reverse osmosis membranes to enhance hydrophilicity and charge, extend lifespan, and reduce operation and maintenance costs; Double excellent water quality: deep removal of organic matter, salt, and microorganisms (desalination rate>99%), high standard reuse of produced water, achieving circular utilization; Compact integrated system: integrating biological treatment and membrane technology, with small footprint, simplified pipelines, and reduced investment and operational risks; Intelligent and flexible adaptation: compatible with multiple water sources, with flexible parameter adjustment to ensure stable water quality; Efficient and energy-saving: Optimizing pump units and energy recovery technology significantly reduces energy consumption.


The project participated by Jiuwu High tech serves as an advanced environmental demonstration project in the industry, providing valuable technology and management experience for other nitrile rubber production enterprises, promoting the coordinated development of related industries, improving infrastructure, and enhancing public services; Improved corporate image, supported public welfare undertakings, and comprehensively promoted local social development and progress. For advanced environmental demonstration projects in the industry, it provides valuable experience for other enterprises to learn from and promotes the entire industry's transition towards green and low-carbon.
