Jiuwu High Tech presented the whole industrial chain solution for lithium extraction from salt lakes at the China (Xizang) Lithium Industry Conference

On April 1, the "2025 China (Xizang) Lithium Industry Conference and the 10th Lithium Resources Development Forum" was opened in Nyingchi, Xizang. The conference focused on upgrading the new energy industry chain and efficient development of salt lake resources with the theme of "green empowerment and exploration of the future". Duan Debing, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, vice chairman and secretary-general of China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association; Duo Ji, former deputy director of the People's Congress of Xizang and academician of the CAE Member; More than 200 representatives from the Management Committee of the Tibet Qinghai Industrial Park, scientific research institutions, and upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain attended the conference.


As a leading enterprise in lithium extraction technology from salt lakes in China, Jiuwu High tech participated deeply in the forum as a specially invited co organizer. The Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman, and General Manager of the company, Party building soldiers, were invited to deliver speeches at the opening ceremony. Vice General Manager Wang Xiaohu delivered a keynote speech on "Innovation and Practice of Salt Lake Lithium Extraction Technology", sharing practical experience of technology iteration to promote the coordinated development of resource development and ecological protection.


As an important participant in the global lithium battery industry, Jiuwu High Tech has always regarded Xizang as a test field for technological innovation and a place to practice ecological responsibility. Party building soldiers stated that since 2013, Jiuwu High Tech has been engaged in research and development of membrane separation materials, experimental and process development, and industrial parameter exploration in the field of lithium extraction from salt lakes, as well as the development of process packages; In 2018, the world's first EPC project with an annual output of 10000 tons of lithium carbonate using full membrane method was completed, and the first generation of high adsorption capacity powder lithium extraction adsorbent was developed.


Party building soldiers stated that as a technological leader in the field of lithium extraction from salt lakes, Jiuwu High tech continues to deepen its industrial layout. In February 2022, the company set up a wholly-owned subsidiary, Xizang Jiuwu, in Golmud Tibetan Green Industrial Park in Qinghai, to build an industrial base integrating R&D and production. In 2023, the base will build the first intelligent production line with an annual output of 6000 tons of lithium adsorbent in China, marking a key leap for the company from a single membrane lithium extraction supplier to a comprehensive service provider of adsorption+membrane solutions.

This technological breakthrough not only consolidates the company's core technological barriers in the field of lithium extraction from salt lakes, but also promotes the industry to enter a new era of comprehensive utilization and efficient adsorption. Currently, Jiuwu's adsorption+membrane technology has been applied in over 95% of lithium carbonate production plants in Qinghai, confirming the company's core competitiveness in leading industrial transformation through technological innovation.

During the forum speech, Wang Xiaohu, Deputy General Manager of Jiuwu High Tech, delivered a keynote speech on "Innovation and Practice of Salt Lake Lithium Extraction Technology". He systematically elaborated on Jiuwu High Tech's latest breakthroughs in areas such as adsorption based lithium extraction and membrane integration technology from four aspects: strategic insights, Jiuwu core technologies, application practices, and future prospects. He also introduced relevant project cases.

At present, Jiuwu High tech's business is divided into three major new material sectors: ceramic membranes, organic membranes, and adsorbents, as well as four major application areas: new energy services, water treatment and resource utilization, industrial fluid separation, and waste gypsum resource utilization. It has established innovative platforms such as postdoctoral research workstations and obtained nearly 400 authorized patents.
